Folks,
I’m pleased to advise that yesterday, Yellowhead County Council has approved, CCS to proceed with the construction of the new 6,300 sq ft Community Hall in Cadomin. Council has also approved additional funding of $750,000.00 for a total of $2,250,000.00. To date, CCS has received $950,000.00 of funding from the Province of Alberta, over and above the $400,000.00 from Teck. Several of our community members have also agreed to provide significant donations in support of the new Community Hall.
We are currently working with the low bidder from the Firehall expansion to construct the new Community Hall starting this spring, with completion around Christmas.
Although we are close to having all the funds raised for the project, we could use your help getting across the goal line. Fundraising for kitchen equipment and furniture is our next objective. Doug Lovsin has agreed to chair the fundraising program on behalf of CCS. If you can help in raising funds or contributing, Doug Lovsin’s email is dflovsin@freson.com.
More information to follow in the next few weeks.
Thank you,
